
The Caterpillar D7 series medium bulldozer began service with the U.S. military during World War II. With upgrades and changes, it has been a workhorse for the U.S. Military for over fifty years, fulfilling its primary earthmoving role as well as a host of other roles discovered for it, for example mine clearing with a special flail adapter kit.

The idea for this project is based upon a photograph showing a D7 Dozer clearing the wreckage of a Panzer IV from the roadway.
Of course, the other element to the scene is the destroyed Panzer IV, the basis for which is the Tamiya ausf. J. Initially I believed that the wreckage would be subordinate to the Caterpiller Dozer, but once the work on the wreckage had begun

I quickly realized that the tangle would share in the spotlight. Adding to the Tamiya turret I added the Aber turret stowage bin and side armor, while a set of Lionroar fenders became part of the tangled wreckage. The majority of the wreckage is made from parts from my extra's box along with bits and pieces of photo etch bent and soldered into interesting shapes.
